Tips for Traveling with Kids

Are you dreading traveling with your kids this summer?

Although family vacations are a great way to experience new things and bring your family together, traveling with kids can be incredibly stressful. Traveling alone is stressful enough, but when you add kids into the mix, it amps up the stress level like nothing else. Luckily, there are many things you can do to make traveling with your kids easier! The following is a list from our Fremont daycare of tips for traveling with kids:

#1. Give yourself plenty of extra time.

If you have ever tried to rush a small child or a toddler, you know that it is nearly impossible. Kids don’t feel the same sense of urgency as adults do, and they tend to wander around and let their curiosity get the better of them. Give yourself plenty of time, so that the tantrums, potty breaks and stalling don’t ruin your travel plans.

#2. Utilize a child locator.

Nothing is more frustrating than having your child wander off while you are trying to make a flight, but most children don’t do so well with the leashes or reins — they can sometimes cause more problems than they are worth. Child locators are a great alternative. Just strap the small unit to your child’s belt or shoes, and hold onto your transmitter. If your child wanders off, you can set the alarm and follow the noise.

These are just a couple of the many things you can do to make traveling with small children easier. Learn mow when you stay tuned for our next blog.
