We all want our kids to be successful at school, and there are many things you can do to help.

If your child is attending our Fremont daycare, you may be under the impression that they are too young to start thinking about their success in school. However, teaching your child good habits at a young age is a great way to set them up for success. Here are a few of those habits you can start when your child is in daycare:

#1. Keep your child healthy.

If your child isn’t feeling their best, they simply won’t be able to perform as well. Teaching your child healthy habits from a young age is much easier than trying to do so later on. Make sure that your child eats a healthy diet, drinks lots of water, gets plenty of sleep and gets their exercise.

#2. Read with your child as much as possible.

Reading itself is essential for your child’s success in school. Reading also helps to spark your child’s imagination, and it is a great way to teach them about all kinds of new things. The first step to learning many different subjects is reading, so read with your child as much as you can.

#3. Make a routine.

Kids do best when they have a set routine, and starting a routine when they are young will help them to stick with it when they are older. Designate a time for playing, reading, studying, etc. so that your child knows exactly what to expect from their day.
